BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE KIMUGAN

The Kimugan is a very special Martial Art, and this is mainly because it is an enjoyable activity, which gives all its practitioners simple tools (necessary and sufficient) to improve both the spiritual area, as well as the psychological sphere and physical aspect; it is through the comprehensive strengthening of the individual who can create the conditions to prevent and combat evil in all its manifestations, and thus make the world a better place for all its inhabitants.

The Kimugan is the Martial Art of the Third Millennium, and stands out as: legit, pragmatic, effective and non-aggressive; as well its technical characteristics are unique and differentiate it from all other martial arts schools, whether: sports, mystics, commercial, religious, pacifists, aggressive, new age, traditionalists or simply competitive.

The Kimugan is totally different from the previous discipline, and provides a comprehensive study plan, which constitutes a concrete alternative to the demand of correctly harmonized physical and psychological training, as it provides effective techniques aimed at general security, and provides the philosophical foundations necessary for personal growth and spiritual evolution.

It is good to note that in the Kimugan never uses its own physical power or the force of the attacker, as the aggressor could be stronger or well positioned thus not generating any movement or inertia to become unbalanced or to control the outcome.

The Kimugan focuses on neutralizing the attacker through proprietary techniques that are effective and non-aggressive, because the teachings of its founder has said it is not intended to harm while defending, this shows that not only it is wrong ethically harm but to keep attacking (besides harming the attacker directly) adverse conditions are generated against oneself, which is philosophically known as fate or karma; therefore: in the Kimugan there are no body blockades against the attacker are made and never interacts violently; nor struggles of any kind, instead it uses evasions that come from the use of the sixteen displacements and combinations thereof, followed by different immobilizations based on each of the four natural elements are exercised: earth, water, air and fire (which are taught in this order).

The meaning of the word: "Ki-Mu-Gan"

To define the Kimugan we must consider two different aspects:

Concept:

   The Kimugan is:

"Conscious Use of the Vital Energy directed by focused attention to achieve a particular purpose."

Etymology:

"Ki": is a Japanese term that derives from "chi", an ideogram used in China, which represents the vital energy, also known as "prana" by the native peoples of the Americas.

"Mu": is the abbreviated form of the "mushin" word, that expresses the state of zen impassivity, which refers to the rational void, empty consciousness, a true open-mindedness from no logic.

"Gan": comes from a phoneme in Asia formerly used to refer to the rock, and in Kimugan it is used as a symbol of firmness, solidity and stability (which does not apply in the sense of rigidity).

The big difference between

Kimugan and other schools

Since the beginning of martial arts there were different groups, colleges and academies with a wide variety of styles, but in its totality, always been framed in one of three ways: confrontational, non-confrontational and the mixture of both.

   - The first one can relate to the use of brute force, aggressive techniques, the use of sharp block and violent blows, these schools are likely to perform demonstrations of force by broken objects and gymnastic feats as part of the show.

   - The second vision is built on the idea of flexibility and harmony, avoiding collision and using force to defend the aggressor without resistance, either through imbalances, takedowns or direct immobilizations.

   - The third way is easy to imagine, since it involves taking and mix some techniques belonging to each of the two opposing visions, adapt it to a certain style and use them alternately.

The Kimugan is in another way, which is totally different from the previous three options, because its founder has demonstrated in practice that: the blockades and bumps do not allow control over the intensity of these, and also involve a high risk of damage on the aggressor and, sometimes, also on oneself; on the other hand, the creator of Kimugan has also shown that the use of the force of the aggressor is very limiting, since issues of inertia and biodynamic, which are not always favorable nor capable of being fully controlled by whoever defends is reduced and obviously the mixture of these two approaches does not solve any of the problems mentioned, but aggravates them.

It has already been clarified that the Kimugan is based on evasion and rapid neutralization of the aggressor, a simple and effective way by using fully scalable techniques for each situation without unnatural blocks, fanciful displays, explosive circular movements or forced imbalances. As already explained briefly, based on the four natural elements as the most desirable from the point of strategic and tactical view for a given situation techniques are applied. In the Kimugan no fixed or structured movements, but a series of sixteen movements that can be combined and accompanied by intense touches on different areas of the body and then generate direct neutralization by levers, grips and takedowns with movements that are often imperceptible.

In addition, the Kimugan has another very special feature: it has been founded in the America Continent at the beginning of the third millennium, therefore has been developed based on western social reality and free of archaic customs is, as well as all oriental tradition with regard to greetings and rituals of submission. The biggest endorsement of the School of Kimugan is pragmatism (100% real, demonstrable from practice), since it is true only that which can be proved in practice, with concrete facts, in the dojo and honest students and loyal to themselves, they do not let themselves apply the techniques passively with intent to flatter the instructor and support the unsustainable.

It is known that no person in their right mind is carried away by fantastic stories, but asks for concrete evidence before making a judgment based value, and in the case of martial arts should be required practical demonstration, everything else is vain lacking value opinions.

To whom is addressed the Kimugan?

True, the Kimugan is not for everyone, since it is aimed at only responsible people of good will and maintain a respectful and honorable conduct.

Amid violence and widespread hostility that negatively affects the current reality, a non-aggressive while fully effective alternative but is needed, and used to defend one's self against an extreme situation without generating more violence and avoiding legal, personal problems and of all kinds.

You need to understand that the Kimugan is a Mental Martial Art, which serves for self-improvement and self defense. The Kimugan is exempt from all competitive regulation that limits their possibilities of defense but has an ethical vision that makes the response to the attack is proportional to the aggression and in relation to the concrete possibilities of the opponent, without excess, as rule on the judgment of the person who defends himself.

As for the sporting aspect, the Kimugan offers an excellent option for people of both sexes and of all ages, because it is an excellent way to improve physical and mental sphere of the individual, increasing self-control and self-discipline; it is a safe and easy activity to learn, extremely necessary for the common citizen, personnel security companies and for the members of the Security Forces of any Democratic State.

The three technical levels of Kimugan

   1) Material Level:

Basic and Intermediate Knowledge

   2) Unified Level:

Advanced and Superior Knowledge

   3) Ki Level:

Shihan and Master Knowledge

The technical aspect of Kimugan has different levels depending on the degree of training and the specific ability of the student: at first simple movements are taught and the elementary use of mind and body, memorizing and reasoning every aspect, this is called "Material Level". Then, when the trainee truly understands the concept of simultaneous and fluid movement of the physical body in line with his thinking and apply it consciously achieved in the exercises, it is within the "Unified Level". From this point, over the years of hard and constant training, the student can understand that there is a larger, solid, intangible foundation... which quickens, opera, nurtures and sustains all technical arsenal, this philosophical foundation is practical, and lies in the use of body and mind through conscious but not rational vital  addressing of the energy to neutralize the aggressor, this advanced level is called: "Ki Level".

Practitioners of all levels must fully understand the Kimugan is not based on the use of brute force itself or the use of the inertia of the aggressor... everything works from the ki itself consciously projected at different levels, and not seek extreme flexibility but the strength and firmness, which does not mean rigidity. In esoteric terms, what develops in the Kimugan is the inner alchemy through self-discipline through a comprehensive training.

Prejudice before the new

The Kimugan is a legit, effective, original, genuine martial art, which has a philosophical structure, its own aesthetic and technical immense arsenal. You need to approach any "Kimugan Dojo" (duly authorized and endorsed by the Kimugan Headquarters) to see what is before thinking without any conceptual base. In the Kimugan all other martial arts and all sports, as well as to the various and diverse artistic and cultural activities by a beneficial contribution to society and the environment as a whole are respected.

Prejudices should be left out because they are harmful and generate a huge waste of time. Prejudices only hinder progress, as they are based on malicious and vain assumptions, which always lead to failure to use this type of mental procedures.

"Prejudices are the reason of fools"

(Voltaire)

"Assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups"

(Anonymous)

What looks like the Kimugan?

For connoisseurs: Kimugan only looks like Kimugan!!!, without a doubt! While it is understandable that people often try to compare the unknown with what they do know (believing that in this way understand what it is), it is clear that in the case of Kimugan, this procedure only leads to confusion.

Those who seek similarities between Kimugan and other disciplines will find them first among: karate and taekwondo; between judo and jiujitsu; between aikijutsu, aikido and hapkido; between ninjutsu, kobudo, kravmaga (or kapap) and Sipalki; between kungfu and taichichuan; between wushu and jetkunedo; between kendo and iaido; between jojutsu and kenjutsu; between muaythai and kickboxing; between mma (mixed martial arts) and valetudo (anything goes)... etc.

While it is true that, in general terms, some martial arts have great similarities, it is difficult to find similarities between Kimugan and any other discipline. The biggest difference is the following: in the Kimugan there are not body locks, not the coup sought nor inertia nor the strength of the aggressor, but the neutralization through effective immobilizations are used, which are based on evasive moves, and are applied in various forms according to the four natural elements. Obviously, the Kimugan shares with all serious Martial Arts same basic concept: defend yourself! In the Kimugan a confrontation does not arise in terms of winning or losing, but to neutralize any aggression. Note that in the Kimugan attack techniques are learned, not just defense and counter-attack, because in addition to self-defense is also taken into account the safety of other beings.

All this does not imply ignoring all Martial Arts Schools have many similarities, either in any technical issue with the displacements in relation to a philosophical stance or an isolated movement, because the general aspects of any martial art always saved directly related to the physical structure of the human body and its possibilities, for example, the center of gravity, movement, biodynamic, various joints, etc.

The Kimugan and its slogans

It is true that Kimugan can be defined as "The Art of Evasion" and also as: "The Art of Conscious Management of Vital Energy", although this last sentence can only be fully and properly applied in relation to practitioners more advanced.

One of the most widespread slogans is: "Kimugan: Martial Art of the Third Millennium", which has been very well received by the people in various countries, as the Kimugan is the first and unique martial art founded at the beginning of the third millennium.

There were other phrases that are no longer used, such has been ruled out by the Headquarters (which does not mean censoring its use), for example the slogan: "Kimugan: The Revolution of Martial Arts" has been a speech created by an Internet company, and although this phrase was absolutely well-intentioned, it could generate unnecessary discomfort in people do not yet know in detail the Kimugan.

The most popular and best accepted slogan of Kimugan is: "Kimugan: Supreme Art" (which means that it does not has superior in its line).

The Kimugan is not competitive

It is noteworthy that the Kimugan is an Mind Art (ethical and pragmatic), free from traditional boundary, ritual or regulation.
First it should be understood that the Kimugan is not just a sport or entertainment, as it is an artistic, sporting, cultural and overall improvement of self activity.

From the beginning, its founder Doshu Gabriel Gagliardini indicated follow the path to self-improvement through practice of Kimugan, and has clearly marked the noncompetitive aspect of this discipline as a nonnegotiable issue because the Kimugan should not be adjusted never any sporting regulations, because if it did not only reduce efficiency but betray the same Spiritual Essence of a True Martial Art.

Although not competitive challenges are made, public displays are made by various means, using techniques prescribed and working properly qualified personnel to avoid unhealthy situations and not gratifying moments.

In Kimugan there is not place of especial relevance for associations, federations or confederations... since it is public knowledge that the main thing is the content, and the rest is accessory, an ornament that only brings levity.

The School of  Kimugan symbolizes a philosophy of life, and has no relationship with sports competitions, which are contrary to the original sense of the true martial arts. Beyond this, it is public knowledge that some schools called "martial arts" are trying to impose a opposite direction to that criterion (without fully achieving it), and have transformed their art in a sport competition, which makes all the martial essence vanish. The cause of all this not only has to do with the profits and financial prosperity, because if it is true sports competitions are held to attract people to receive income, most participants compete to inflate their ego and for some popularity. This mixture of needs continues to promote the inclusion of "martial arts" in tournaments, championships and in the most extreme in "international game" cases. Probably some people, perhaps without malice, defend this stance, and far from being ashamed at such decadence, advertised as if it were something right and praiseworthy.

Often, all that ostensible deterioration is masked with the false image of "progress", but one thing is clear: they are pursuing purposes other than Martial Spirit.

It is good to remember that the origin of all martial art, in its original essence, has a purely practical goal: defend against one or more attackers of any weight and size, including attackers that carry different types of weapons, as regulated contests are held, with people of the same weight and unnatural conditions the way is lost.

It is very important to realize the techniques with people of different physical contextures, seek domestic development through constant training, and is gradually gaining more security and fertile ground for Spiritual Martial Artist development is created.

Finally, the reality is that when a school of martial arts displays, in itself, an area of sports competition is inevitably limiting its technical arsenal and corrupting the "Spirit of Art" (if it has it or some once it has had it)... In the "sports contests" only people of the same weight confront and irrelevant to real life regulations are used, and most damaging is that is encouraged, consciously or unconsciously, the growth of the lesser ego; this is because, wanting to outdo others, encysts in the minds of students the pernicious idea to beat the other, and in that miserable game superficiality people draw away from the truth, but above all things departs from the essentials in the way of the warrior: personal progress... which gradually leads to Spiritual Evolution.

The foundation of Kimugan

It is very simple: it is a martial art that can be defined as: "The art of evasion and neutralization by conscious use of energy" and its general foundation lies not in resistance and apply one's strength to the weakness of the aggressor, both physically and psychologically; but in that every weakness can be turned into strength through mental alchemy. The first step is not to exercise the body, but to understand what our strengths and our weaknesses are, then advance on the path of the warrior. People who do not recognize their weaknesses are gradually becoming more and more ignorant often get angry with reality and end up acting as whimsical animals. It is evident that by holding these kind of attitudes (during a considerable period of time) failure is guaranteed and inevitably in all areas of life. However, this happens and will continue to occur while the thought structure does not changed, and the first thing you should know about is that "there is no way of being", but: "each is what they want to be!"

WELCOME TO KIMUGAN!!!
